A Renovation and Restoration success

This Heritage Listed home in Peppermint grove required a delicate touch above, whilst adding in a strong and durable base.

A task we achieve with beautiful success.

The task ahead:

This project was a restoration of the existing heritage listed veranda that was in very poor condition. The posts were rotten and the footings were failing due to loss of compaction and surface water not being contained properly. we installed new drainage system of the down pipes and replaced the paving.

We maintained as much of the existing wooden structure as we possibly could with out losing the heritage character and put in new wooden posts and fret work where needed.

The existing walls and footings had to be shored up/under pinned, with new concrete. All the fill under the veranda slab had to be removed, clean fill put back in its place and compacted with a new concrete slab and new tiles to match the existing.

We also added a new set of steps to make access to the veranda easier.
